Harsahaimal Shiamlal Jewellers
Our Story
1893

One counter in Badaun.
Five generations of vows kept.

Before there was a vault in Lucknow, before fourteen jewels were set for a god — there was a single counter in Badaun, and a promise: purity, or nothing.

Chapter One · Badaun, 1893

Where the
vow was made.

In 1893, in the old bazaar of Badaun, Uttar Pradesh, the house of Harsahaimal Shiamlal opened its first counter. No marble, no chandeliers — only scales that never lied and gold that never needed forgiving.

Word travelled the way it does in small cities: quietly, from one trousseau to the next. The name became a guarantee before it became a brand.

Chapter Two · Bareilly

The first
store.

The family carried the vow north to Bareilly, opening its first true store at Civil Lines. Here HSJ grew from a counter into a house — and became one of the first jewellers in the country to hold a BIS hallmarking licence, making purity a matter of law, not just of word.

Temple trusts took notice. Over the years, HSJ curated sacred collections for temples in Vrindavan, Bareilly, Budaun and Aligarh.

Chapter Three · Lucknow

A vault built
like a jewel.

In Gomti Nagar, Lucknow, HSJ built its flagship as an introverted vault — a solid sandstone façade detailed in gold steel, opened by a 30-foot glass door. Inside: a red glass elevator wrapped in a spiral staircase, floors inlaid with Meenakari craft, and a hand-painted ceiling above the gold boutique.

Every element of the store is detailed as a piece of jewellery — where art meets luxury, made architecture.
